YFC Prayer Requests and Praises for December 24, 2013 – January 6, 2104

Tuesday – Continue to pray for God’s people to be generous in their giving to YFC this month.  Several of our ministry department budgets are behind and they could use an increase in giving to get back to a healthy level.  Praise God for the ministry departments that are current or ahead of expenses to date.

Wednesday – Praise God for the three kids who prayed to accept Christ last week from our Albany City Life ministry. Pray for Ashley as she follows up with those kids.

Thursday – Merry Christmas!  Take time to thank God for your family and for His Son, Jesus.

Friday – Pray for those teens in our ministries that have a challenging home life and may not have had a wonderful Christmas celebration yesterday.

Saturday – Pray for our staff and volunteers to remain healthy as we continue to spend time with teens during the Christmas season.

Sunday – Pray for me as I preach at Connecting Point Church this morning.

Monday – Pray for our Cambridge Campus Life ministry team as our volunteers spend time with the teens tonight.

Tuesday – Pray for the teens involved in all our relationship building activities this week.

Wednesday – Happy New Year!  Praise God for the blessing He provided during 2013,

Thursday – Pray for the youth leaders from around the Capital Region as they prepare for Excel 2014 (Jan 17-19).

Friday – Praise God for all the different people who have expressed interest in volunteering with YFC.

Saturday – Pray for our Point Break team this morning as we lead a large group of 5-14 year olds through our anti-bullying program geared toward middle school students.

Sunday – Praise God for all those who faithfully support YFC with their prayers and financial donations.

Monday – Pray for teachers and students as they return to school today.

YFC Prayer Requests and Praises for December 17 - 23, 2013

Tuesday – Praise God for a safe trip up and back from Cambridge last week. 

Pray for me as I have several meetings with staff I supervise today and some projects to finish up today.

Wednesday – Praise God for the nine kids that attended the Bible at the City Life Center last week.

Pray for our Albany City Life ministry as an invitation to accept Christ will be given this afternoon.

Thursday – Praise God for the time spent with the teens and staff from Waterford/Halfmoon high school last week (Point Break) as well as teens and staff from Gloversville high school (Bridges – Peer to Peer mentoring).

Friday – Pray for our Teen Parents ministry in Schenectady today.  Ask God for more volunteers to connect with more teens in this ministry to teen moms.

Sunday – Praise God for the opportunity Ashley Young and I have to present 3Story to people from Albany this morning.  (3Story is a way of living that guides us to share Christ with others)

Monday – Pray for our Campus Life ministries to teens in Cambridge, Greenville, Clifton Park and East Dorset, VT today.

YFC Prayer Requests and Praises for December 10 - 16, 2013

Tuesday – Pray for the ministry team meeting in Cambridge tonight.  We will be talking through some changes to our ministry team, Excel 2014 and weekly ministry meetings with the teens. Pray for safety as I drive to and from the meeting.

Wednesday – Pray for our new Bible study for kids in the Bellevue neighborhood this afternoon.  9 kids attended the first one last week.  Pray also for our out-reach ministries in Greenville and Albany taking place this afternoon and early evening.

Thursday – Pray for the Point Break team as we facilitate this program with teens and staff from the Waterford/Halfmoon school district.  Pray for the teens and staff going through this experience today and that it will be a day that God uses to change lives.

Friday – Pray for Dewayne Moore who is in the beginning process of raising support for a position with us in Clifton Park Campus Life.  He is volunteering right now and working part time at The Edge.  He will be traveling back home this weekend to speak at two churches asking for financial support.

Saturday – Pray for Dave Lenehan as he works on the final pieces of our Excel conference coming up in January.  Pray that our Excel and Break Out websites will be fixed quickly and able to be used by church youth group leaders to register for both conferences.

YFC Prayer Requests and Praises for December 3 - 9, 2013

Tuesday – Pray for our elementary and middle school ministry to kids in the Bellevue neighborhood in Schenectady.  Pray for these kids as they hear more about Jesus and living for Him.

Wednesday – Pray for the teens involved with our ministry in Greenville.  Pray that they would grasp God’s desire for them to live in ways that are pleasing to Him.  Pray also for the kids involved in our ministry in Albany,

Thursday – Pray for our ministry to teens in East Dorset, VT.  Pray that more teens will be able to get involved so that they can hear about Jesus.  Pray also for the girls involved with our Teen Parents ministry that meets in Schenectady.

Friday – Pray for our ministry to teens through The Edge climbing gym.  Pray for Adam, Tyler and Dewayne and others as they build relationships with teens so that they can share the Gospel with them.

Saturday – Praise God for the many opportunities the YFC staff and volunteers have to share Jesus with kids and teens each week.  Pray for open hearts and ears of the youth.

Sunday – Praise God for all the churches in our communities that remain faithful to Him.

Monday – Pray for our ministries to teens in Clifton Park, Cambridge and the Hamilton Hill neighborhood in Schenectady.  Pray for more teens to understand the Gospel and for our adult teams as they disciple teens who want to grow in their faith.
