YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for October 1-7, 2013

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer. 

Tuesday – Praise God for the two days our Point Break team got to spend with the freshman class and staff from Scotia/Glenville last week.

Please be in prayer today for our outreach ministry to kids in the Bellevue neighborhood of Schenectady.

Wednesday – Praise God for the positive impact our Greenville Campus Life ministry called EPIC is having already this school year.

Continue to pray for our volunteer needs in our Albany City Life ministry. We are in need of 4-5 volunteers (male and female).

Pray for our two staff coming home from Texas today.

Thursday – Praise God for the two teen moms that attend the Teen Parents group last Thursday.

Continue to pray for Domonica as she builds relationships with other organizations in Schenectady to raise the awareness of our ministry to young moms. 

Friday – Praise God that we have a new location for our Cambridge Campus Life ministry (St Luke’s Episcopal Church). Please continue to pray for us as we make the transition to Monday nights later this month.

Saturday – Continue to pray for the financial health of our chapter.  Money has been tight this summer. Praise God for how He has provided in the past and for peace of mind for our staff team.

Praise God for the 33 teens from Rotary that spent last Saturday on the ropes course with YFC staff and volunteers.  Praise God also for a good day of climbing at The Edge.

Sunday – Thank God with me for my time at Sand Lake Baptist Church last Sunday.  Pray for more of the churches in our communities to support the ministry of YFC.

Monday – Pray for our Campus Life ministry (FUSE) to teens in Clifton Park today.  Tonight is the first small group meeting with teens for the school year after a few weeks of meeting teens from the community.

YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for September 24 - 30, 2013

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer.  Chris just finished her 12 days of radiation and is scheduled for another round of chemo this week. Thank you for standing with us. We know that God is still God!

Tuesday – Pray for our Point Break team as they lead this program today and tomorrow with students and staff from Scotia/Glenville High School.

Wednesday – Continue to pray for our volunteer needs in our Albany City Life ministry. We are in need of 4-5 volunteers (male and female).

Praise God for the opportunity to connect 11 more kids last week to our ministry in Albany.

Thursday – Continue to pray for Domonica as she builds relationships with other organizations in Schenectady to raise the awareness of our ministry to young moms.  Tonight is another group night with the teen moms, thank you for your prayers for this ministry.

Friday – Continue to pray for our ministry in Cambridge.  We need to find a new location to meet with teens by mid-October.  Pray also for us as we are changing the night we are holding Campus Life and adding three new volunteers this month.  Pray for Tom who leads our East Dorset, VT ministry and also helps lead the Cambridge ministry with me.

Pray for the Rotary young leaders group going through our ropes course today.  We are also hosting a rock climbing competition at The Edge today. Please pray for safety for all.

Sunday – Pray for me as I give an update on our ministry to the people at Sand Lake Baptist this morning.  Thank God with me for this church’s long standing support of YFC.

Pray for safe travel for two of our staff as they travel to Texas today to learn more about the teen parents ministry.

Monday – Continue to pray for the teens in Clifton Park and for our need for volunteers and more monthly financial support.  Pray for Michele who is the Clifton Park Campus Life Director as she builds her team so she can start a weekly out-reach club this fall.

YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for September 17 - 23, 2013

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer.  Chris began 12 consecutive days of radiation on Monday Sept 9. The MRI of her brain showed that she has multiple metastases. Thank you for standing with us. We know that God is still God!

Tuesday – Praise God for a great meeting last week with the Albany Police.

Pray for our volunteer needs in our Albany City Life ministry. We are in need of 4-5 volunteers (male and female).

Wednesday – Praise God for the 30+ teens that came last week to the Greenville Campus Life club, EPIC.

Pray for our staff team as we spend the morning together in an in-house morning retreat.

Thursday – Praise God for the two teen moms that came last week.

Pray for Domonica as she builds relationships with other organizations in Schenectady to raise the awareness of our ministry to young moms.

Friday – Continue to pray for our ministry in Cambridge.  We need to find a new location to meet with teens by mid-October.  Pray also for us as we are changing the night we are holding Campus Life and adding three new volunteers this month.  Pray for Tom who leads our East Dorset, VT ministry and also helps lead the Cambridge ministry with me.

Tuesday – Pray for Ashley and me as we meet with the leadership of the Albany Police this afternoon.  (Ashley is our City Life Director for the city of Albany.)

Wednesday – Pray for the teens involved with our Greenville Campus Life ministry.  The first club meeting of the school year is this afternoon. (Pray for Sherri who the Campus Life Director for Greenville)

Thursday – Pray for the first meeting of the school year for the Schenectady Teen Parents this evening.  Pray for Domonica who the Teen Parents Director and the young moms she will be with tonight.

Friday – Continue to pray for our ministry in Cambridge.  We need to find a new location to meet with teens by mid-October.  Pray also for us as we are changing the night we are holding Campus Life and adding three new volunteers this month.  Pray for Tom who leads our East Dorset, VT ministry and also helps lead the Cambridge ministry with me.

Saturday – Pray for Steve Prettyman and his meetings with school leaders as Steve is scheduling Point Break programs with schools in the greater Capital District for the Fall.
