YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for February 26 – March 4, 2013

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer. 

Tuesday – Pray for the group of Christian adults in Averill Park as we meet this morning to pray about starting the Friend 2 Friend ministry of YFC in the 2013-2014 school year. Later in the morning I am meeting with a group of Christian adults interested in starting a baseball ministry for teens in Schenectady.  Please pray that if God wants this to happen, all the right people will get involved to make this ministry a success.

Wednesday – After our staff meeting this morning, Dave Lenehan and I will be meeting with our new staff as we think through the final pieces of the Break Out Conference (March 8-10).  Pray for us as we prepare for this conference, where we desire to see teens submit completely to following Jesus.  Later in the day I am scheduled to meet with Tom Beebe who is our staff person in Vermont and helps with our Cambridge Campus Life ministry.

Thursday – Continue to pray for new monthly supporters for this ministry.  My ministry department needs 40 new donors at $50 a month or the financial equivalent.

Friday – Praise God with me as we see Him adding staff members to our ministry.  Pray for continued provision to keep growing our ministries (prayer partners,

volunteers to build relationships with teens, financial supporters).

Saturday – Pray for me as I will be speaking at YFC’s Central NY chapter’s banquet tonight. Pray for safety in travel and for God to speak through me tonight.  Ask God to burden those adults to commit to supporting this ministry through financial donations, prayer support and volunteering.

Sunday – I will be preaching at Nassau Reformed Church again this morning. Pray that I will only speak the words God gives me to say.  Thanks for your prayer for me last Sunday.

Monday – Continue to pray for the youth groups that are coming to our middle school conference, Break Out in March (8-10).  Pray for the youth leaders and parents who are coming with the teens too.

YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for February 20 - 25, 2013

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer. 

Wednesday – Pray for my time with our new staff today.  This morning I will be meeting with our new staff members (Arimentha, Michele, Ashley and Erik) from 9-11 for a training time. 

Thursday – Pray for new monthly supporters for this ministry.  My ministry department needs 40 new donors at $50 a month or the financial equivalent.

Friday – This morning I will be meeting with a young woman who is interested in joining our Teen Parents ministry team.  Thank you for your prayers for this meeting.

Saturday – Pray for the youth groups that are coming to our middle school conference, Break Out in March (8-10).  Pray for the youth leaders and parents who are coming with the teens too.

Sunday – I will be preaching at Nassau Reformed Church this morning (and next Sunday).  Pray that I will only speak the words God gives me to say.

Monday – Pray for Ashley (Albany City Life) as she presents our City Life ministry to college students at Hudson Valley Community College this afternoon.  Ask God to provide 3-4 volunteers for our ministry from this group of young adults.

I will be sharing our ministry with a group of adults out in New Lebanon tonight. Pray that each of them will end up being monthly financial supporters and prayer partners for this ministry.

YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for February 12 - 19, 2013

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer. 

Tuesday – Pray for the needed finances to be provided for Capital District YFC so that we can continue reaching out to non-Christian teens throughout the region.  We know God is our provider, pray that our trust in Him remains strong in a struggling economy.

Wednesday – Pray that God would provide more adult volunteers for each of our ministries this next month.  Praise God for the many adults who already volunteer in our ministries.

Thursday – Pray for our new staff as they get used to the pace of life as a staff member of YFC.  Pray for those of us on staff to remember what it was like to be just starting out so we do not overwhelm the new staff. 

Friday – Pray for the youth groups that are coming to our middle school conference, Break Out in March.  Pray for the youth leaders and parents who are coming with the teens too.

Saturday – Praise God for allowing us to see the fruit of our labor.  Praise Him for all the blessings He provides each day.

Sunday – Pray for safety and wise decisions to be made this week by teens as they have this week off from school.  Pray for our staff as they have more opportunities to connect with the teens than when teens are in school.

Monday – Pray for the staff that serves in our main office in Halfmoon.  Our staff has grown numerically without being able to hire more office staff.  Pray that they will not be overwhelmed with all that needs to be done.

Tuesday – Pray for our board of directors and John Richmond (Executive Director) as they serve in key roles for this ministry.

YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for February 5 - 11, 2013

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer. 

Tuesday – Praise God for a great first meeting with 8 people in Averill Park last week about re-establishing an YFC ministry here.  Pray for the woman that attended to hear clearly from God about how much they should be involved going forward.

Wednesday – Pray for the teens that are part of our Greenville Campus Life ministry.  Our weekly club (EPIC) meets today from 3-5pm).

Thursday – Pray for our Campus Life ministry in East Dorset, VT.  Pray for the teens to grow closer to God and for our adult ministry team as they share Jesus with the teens.

Friday – Pray for our Campus Life ministry in Cambridge, for our adult volunteers to stay close to Jesus so they can be used by Him for His glory.  Pray for the teens that went to Excel to get answers to their questions and to continue to grow in their relationship with God.

Saturday – Praise God for the good turnout for the informational event last Saturday in Albany.  Ask God to continue to build a team of adults who volunteer in our City Life ministry in this city.

Sunday – Pray for the needed finances to be provided for Capital District YFC so that we can continue reaching out to non-Christian teens throughout the region.

Monday – Pray for our City Life ministry in Schenectady that continues to see growth this year.  Praise God for the adult team He is raising up to reach out to teens in this city.
