YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for January 29 – February 4, 2013

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer. 

Tuesday – Pray for my meeting in Averill Park this morning (9AM) about how we can re-establish an YFC ministry in this community.  I meet with Dave (Events/Conferences) at 11AM, Michele (Clifton Park Campus Life) at 2PM and Pamela (Office Manager) at 3PM.  My project for the day is to create a weekly training schedule for our new staff.

Wednesday – Pray for our time in our weekly staff meeting this morning.  At 11:15 I will be meeting with our new staff for training.  At 2PM I have a meeting with Ruth (Schenectady Teen Parents).

Thursday – The majority of today is being set aside for me to work on all the different projects and tasks that I need to work on.  Pray for me to use this day wisely.

Friday – Pray for my meeting from 11-12 with Andy Lightcap who leads our Schenectady City Life ministries.  I will be meeting with Erik (Ballston Spa Campus Life) and a couple interested in volunteering at 1PM...

Saturday – Pray for Ashley (Albany City Life/Teen Parents) as she has an YFC informational meeting/event this afternoon for people in Albany.

Sunday – Pray for your home church today, for your pastor and the church leadership.  Praise God for their faithfulness.

Monday – Pray for Ray (Spiritual Development/Staff Pastor) as he meets with staff, volunteers and area pastors this week.

YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for January 23 - 28, 2013

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer. 

Praise God for how He worked in the lives of so many teens during Excel.  A little over half the teens indicated during a general session that they needed God to change something in their life so that they would grow closer to Him and live more faithfully. 

Wednesday – This morning at staff meeting (9-11) we will spend time in God’s Word, prayer and share stories of how God moved and worked during Excel. 

Pray for Dave Lenehan and me as we meet with our new staff from 11:15-12:15 to get their input on our middle school conference, Break Out, coming up in March.

Pray for my meeting with Ashley at 1PM and Ruth at 2PM today.  Ashley is our staff person for City Life/Teen Parents in Albany and Ruth is our staff person for Schenectady Teen Parents.

Thursday – This afternoon at 1PM I have a phone appointment with Sherri Hvizdak (Greenville Campus Life). At 4PM I am interviewing a potential staff person, pray for wisdom and discernment for us both. 

At 7PM I will be joining John Richmond (Executive Director) in a meeting with a couple who want to learn more about getting YFC’s ministry, Campus Life started in their community.

Friday –Pray for my meeting from 11-12 with Andy Lightcap who leads our Schenectady City Life ministries.  I meet with a volunteer at 12 who is trying to decide if God calling her to join our staff team.

Pray for Ashley (Albany City Life/Teen Parents) as she presents YFC at a mission conference today. 

Saturday - Pray for the financial needs of this ministry.  Pray for our new staff and those of us who have been around for a while to continue to schedule meetings with people to share the ministry of YFC and invite people to financially support this ministry to youth who need Jesus.

Sunday – Pray for your home church today, for your pastor and the church leadership.  Praise God for their faithfulness.

Monday – I am scheduled to meet with Ashley (Albany City Life/Teen Parents), Erik (Ballston Spa Campus Life) and Tom Beebe (East Dorset, VT and Cambridge, NY Campus Life).  Pray for each of these staff people as they continue to apply themselves to doing to “unseen work” of youth ministry.

YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for January 15 - 22, 2013

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer. 

Excel 2013 this weekend (Friday – Sunday)  Pray for the teens and youth leaders to draw close to God throughout the weekend and commit to stay close for life.

Tuesday – Praising God for a full and fruitful week last week.  Today I have 2 meetings scheduled as I write this.  One with Dave Lenehan at 11 and then one at 4 with a potential staff person.  I will be working on my Excel seminars (one for teens and one for youth leaders) and my own ministry goals for the next 5 months.

Wednesday – This morning our staff gathers for our staff meeting, please pray for Ray during this time as he leads our team meetings.  After staff meeting I will be meeting with our new staff, helping them learn how to communicate the ministry with parents , pastors and school personnel. In the afternoon (2PM) I will be meeting with Ruth Lightcap who leads our Schenectady Teen Parents ministry.

Thursday – Pray for our staff team as they load the truck for Excel this morning, pray for safety and good communication as we have several new staff who have never done this before.  I have several appointments throughout the day (10AM, 2:15PM and 5PM). 

Friday – Excel set up in Saratoga begins this morning at 7AM and our first general session begins at 8:50PM.  Pray for al the work that happens during the day to get everything ready before the youth groups start showing up.

Saturday – Pray for all those involved in leading the general sessions and/or teaching seminars today. 

Sunday – Pray for the teens and youth leaders as they are challenged to live more fully and faithfully for God.

Pray for safe travel as groups head home from Excel in the early evening and for the team that stays behind to pack up trucks and clean up after Excel.

Monday – Pray for the families that the teens have returned home to after being at Excel this past weekend.  Pray for these teens to stay strong in their faith as they begin everyday living once again.

Tuesday – Pray for our staff team as we continue to engage in ministry after the Excel weekend and for our work on the middle school conference, Break Out (March 8-10).

YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for January 8 - 14, 2013

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer. 

Here is my planned schedule for the next week.  Thank you for your prayers!

Tuesday – I start my day praying with pastors in Averill Park at the Sand Lake Town Hall. After that I have three scheduled appointments.  I meet with Ashley who is our staff person for Albany.  We will be working on updating her ministry goals for the first 6 months of 2013.

I meet with Dave next.  Dave and I will be talking through the Excel Conference (Jan 18-20).

In the early afternoon I will be meeting with a person who is very interested in helping get Campus Life active again in Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Surrounding these appointments I need to work on some ministry projects and my own ministry goals for 2013.

Wednesday – This morning our staff gathers for our staff meeting, please pray for Ray during this time as he leads our team meetings.

After staff meeting I will be meeting with our new staff, helping them learn our on-line ministry tool called, IMPACT.

In the afternoon, I will be on a conference call with the Campus Life Regional Team for an hour and then after that I will be meeting with Ruth who leads our Teen Parents ministry in Schenectady.

Thursday – This morning I will be at Troy City Hall praying with a group of believers and most likely the mayor.  I have blocked off time in the morning and late afternoon to continue working on ministry projects.  I have a meeting scheduled to meet with John our Executive Director in the morning too.  In the afternoon I will be meeting with Erik (Ballston Spa Campus Life), then Michele (Clifton Park Campus Life) and finally Ashley (Albany City Life/Teen Parents). 

Friday – This morning I met with Andy who is our Schenectady City Life Director and spend the rest of the day working on those ministry projects and laying out my schedule for next week.  In the evening I will be at a youth event for the Troy area.

Saturday – Pray for the on-going financial needs of this ministry.   

Sunday – Pray for the impact of Excel 2013, conference for high school students and youth leaders (Jan 18-20). Pray for Dave Lenehan as he is the Excel conference director.  There are many details and schedules to keep track of during the last weeks leading up to Excel.

Monday – My day will begin meeting with my accountability partners and then I will meet with Erik (Ballston Spa Campus Life), then after lunch I meet with Ashley (Albany City Life/Teen Parents).  I have a phone call appointment with Tom (East Dorset and Cambridge Campus Life) this afternoon.  In the evening I will be at Schenectady City Life’s outreach meeting, JUMPOFF.

YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for January 3 - 7, 2013

Praise God with me as I continue to heal from my gall bladder surgery.

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer.  So far she is doing better than expected from the chemo treatments.

Pray for the impact of Excel 2013, conference for high school students and youth leaders (Jan 18-20).

Pray for Dave Lenehan as he is the Excel conference director.  There are many details and schedules to keep track of during the last weeks leading up to Excel.

Pray for our staff and volunteer team, many have been sick these past weeks,

Pray for the financial needs of this ministry.

Pray that each of us involved in YFC at any level will bring glory to God through how we live.

Pray for the salvation of teens we minister to through all our ministries and programs; Campus Life, Teen Parents, City Life, Point Break, The Edge Climbing Gym.
