YFC Prayer Requests for October 30 – November 5, 2012

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer.  Pray also for the rest of the CDYFC staff team as we support them during this fight.

Tuesday – Pray for all those in the path Sandy.  Pray for His church to be there for those who find themselves in need from this storm.

Wednesday – Praise God for a great YFC Conference this past weekend on the subject of HOPE.   Thank God for the blessings we have just because we live in this country as compared to those who do not live with such wealth.  Pray for those in this country who are spiritually poor compared to those in other parts of the world that are spiritually rich.

Thursday – Pray for our Teen Parents ministry in Schenectady and for our need for more Christian mom’s to volunteer in this ministry.

Friday – Pray for the teens who have not made the decision to be followers of Jesus that YFC staff and volunteers reach out to each week.  Pray for their salvation and then for their spiritual growth.

Saturday – Pray for the youth ministry to take spiritual lessons away from their time on the YFC Challenge Ropes Course today.  Pray for their safety too.

Sunday – Please keep YFC in prayer today as we have the first of three banquets this afternoon.  Pray for those who are attending the banquet today to hear from God to be more committed to the cause of youth becoming life-long followers of Jesus.

Monday – Praise God for how He uses us to advance His kingdom.  Pray for fellow believers to stand strong for God.

YFC Prayer Requests for October 23 - 29, 2012

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer.  Pray also for the rest of the CDYFC staff team as we support them during this fight.

Tuesday – Pray for Dave Lenehan as he works on all the details in organizing our Excel and Break Out Conferences (January and March 2013). 

Wednesday – Pray for all the details to work out for our upcoming banquets. (Nov 4, 8 and 11)

Thursday – Pray for the teens and staff from Gloversville who participated in Point Break last week. 

Friday – The majority of our staff team are traveling to Maryland for a conference with YFC staff and volunteers from the Eastern Region this weekend.  Pray for our safety in travel, open hearts and minds to hear and apply what God wants to teach us.

Saturday – Pray for the YFC staff who are teaching or helping lead this weekend

Sunday – Pray for the families of our staff and volunteers.

Monday – Pray for the board of directors of CDYFC.

YFC Prayer Requests for October 16- 22, 2012

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer.  Pray also for the rest of the CDYFC staff team as we support them during this fight.

Tuesday – Please pray for Steve, Andy, Ashley, Josh and myself as we will be presenting the Point Break program to teens and staff from Gloversville High School today through Thursday.

Wednesday – Pray for our ministry to teens in Greenville and for our weekly Campus Life club (EPIC) that meets on Wednesday afternoons.  Pray for Sherri Hvizdak who is our part time staff person for this community.  Pray that God would send us more volunteers for this community.

Thursday – Pray for Ruth Lightcap who is our part time staff person for our Schenectady Teen Parents ministry.  This ministry is in need of volunteers to work with these young moms and also volunteers who can drive these girls to and from the weekly meetings on Thursday nights.

Pray for Tom Beebe who serves as our part time staff person in East Dorset, VT.  Pray for him as he builds his adult ministry team and continues to reach out to teens in this community.

Friday – Pray for our Campus Life ministry in Cambridge, for our three volunteers who lead this ministry.  Pray for the teens that come to the weekly meetings to surrender their lives to the Lordship of Christ.  Pray also for a staff person for this ministry.

Saturday – Pray for our new staff; Ashley (Albany) and Erik (Ballston Spa) as they learn about their respective communities and start becoming known by the adults and teens in those communities.

Sunday – Pray for Ray Lightcap who serves as our staff pastor.  Pray that he gets the rest he needs to be effective week in and week out.

Monday – Pray for Andy Lightcap, Cheri Vedder and Catie Messenger as they lead our Schenectady City Life ministry.  Pray for the teens who participate in the Monday night JUMPOFF program and for those kids that are attending the Wednesday night Worship Experience.

YFC Prayer Requests for October 9 - 15, 2012

Praise God for the teens that indicated that they had accepted Christ last week.  Pray for our staff as they follow up with these teens to make sure they understand what it means to become and be a follower of Jesus.

Tuesday – Today I have 2 meetings with people who are interested in becoming part of the YFC ministry team.  The first meeting is with someone who is interested in learning more about staff opportunities.  The second meeting is with someone who needs help with her youth ministry and interested in becoming part of YFC as a volunteer.  Pray for wisdom and clear direction from God for each of us involved.

YFC Prayer Requests for October 2 - 8, 2012

Tuesday – Pray for my meeting with someone who is interested in learning what it will take to lead a Campus Life ministry in the Berne-Knox-Westerlo community.

Wednesday – Pray for the CDYFC staff as we meet this morning for our staff meeting and for my appointments with staff I supervise in the afternoon.

Thursday – Pray for our Teen Parents dinner in Schenectady tonight.

Friday – Pray for our volunteers who lead the Cambridge Campus Life ministry and pray for the teens they are ministering to each week.

Saturday – Pray for Ashley Young (Albany) and Erik Gaylo (Ballston Spa).  Both of them are new to our YFC staff team.  Erik started this week with us and Ashley started last month.

Sunday – Pray for me to communicate clearly and passionately the mission of YFC to the people in the adult class at Brunswick Church this morning.

Monday – Pray for our staff and volunteers as they connect with teens who have the day off from school today.  Pray that those teens will grow closer to becoming faithful followers of Jesus.
