YFC Prayer Requests for July 24 – 30, 2012


Tuesday – Pray for Steve Prettyman, Katie Congdon, Josh Mason and the 6 teens who are leaving today for a wilderness trip with our Shiloh’s Edge ministry.


Wednesday – Pray for leadership meeting today as we talk about plans for the next few years at Capital District YFC.


Thursday - Pray for our City Life team as they get the City Life building ready for Blaze Fest next month.  Pray for the rest of the money they need to be provided to finish the building projects they want to see done before camp.


Friday – Pray for our office staff as they work on all those details that keep a ministry going.


Saturday – Today I start a 6 week sabbatical; please pray for me as I enter into this time of study and getting closer to God.


Sunday – Pray for our Campus Life ministry to teens in Cambridge, Greenville and East Dorset, VT.


Monday – Pray for our Teen Parents ministry staff and the young mom’s they minister to during the summer months.



YFC Prayer Requests for July 31 – September 10, 2012

Due to my sabbatical I will not be sending out weekly prayer requests.  Below are some areas to be praying for while I am away.

*City Life ministry in Schenectady and for Blaze Fest happening Aug 13-18

*Teen Parents ministry in Schenectady and our need for more volunteers

*Campus Life ministry in Greenville, Cambridge and East Dorset, VT.

*Financial needs of ministry

*Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues to fight her cancer.

*Our Shiloh’s Edge outdoor ministry.

*For our summer camps happening through The Edge climbing gym.

*For the teens we work with to become life-long followers of Jesus.

Prayer Reuqests for July 10-16 and 17-23, 2012

Prayer Requests for the week of July 10 - 16, 2012

Tuesday – Pray for my meeting with a potential volunteer for the Clifton Park Campus Life ministry we hope to begin this fall.

Wednesday – Pray for Steve Prettyman and me as we lead a group through the Challenge Course today.

Thursday – Pray for Sherri Hvizdak as she leads our Campus Life ministry in Greenville.  Pray for my meeting with her today.

Friday – In 2 weeks I will be just about to start a 6 week sabbatical.  Pray for me and the YFC staff team as we work out who will oversee the different areas of responsibilities while I am on sabbatical.

Saturday – Continue to pray for the health of our staff and their families.  Pray specifically for Chris Richmond as she continues her battle with cancer.

Pray also for Kelly and me as I start a week of vacation today.

Sunday – Continue to pray for our Blaze Fest camp being held in Schenectady this August.  Pray for our City Life staff as they prepare the City Life Center for this camp and get kids signed up for camp.

Monday – Continue to pray for our efforts to begin a Campus Life ministry in the Scotia/Glenville community.  We have a person interested in a staff position in the near future for this community, please begin praying for him as we investigate this opportunity together.

Prayer Requests for the week of July 17 - 23, 2012

Tuesday - Continue to pray for our efforts to establish a strong ministry presence in Albany.  There is a young woman who is in the beginning stages of raising the ministry budget for Albany so that she can join our staff team. Praise God for the new money already raised towards the Albany ministry

Wednesday - Continue to pray for our efforts to establish a Campus Life ministry for the teenagers in the communities within Southern Saratoga County.

Thursday – Continue to pray for the health of our staff and their families.  Pray specifically for Chris Richmond as she continues her battle with cancer.

Friday – Pray for our Campus Life ministry in Cambridge.  For our volunteers as they lead this ministry and for the teens they minister to each week.

Saturday – Pray for Dave Lenehan as he works on our two youth conferences (Excel and Break out).

Sunday – Pray for the pastors in your community.

Monday – Pray for our Teen Parents ministry in Schenectady.  Pray for Ruth Lightcap as she leads this ministry and for our need for more volunteers to work with the girls and others to help lead the outreach meetings.

Prayer Requests for the weeks of July 3 – July 9, 2012

Tuesday – Praise God for good weather last week while on the Challenge Course.  It rained around us but not on us.

Wednesday - Continue to pray for our efforts to establish a strong ministry presence in Albany.  There is a young woman who is in the beginning stages of raising the ministry budget for Albany so that she can join our staff team.
