Prayer Requests for the week of May 1- 7, 2012

Tuesday – This Saturday is YFC’s Silent and Live Auction.  Please pray that all the behind the scenes work that needs to happen this week gets done without stress and worry.

Wednesday – Pray for our City Life staff, Ray and Andy, as they are helping to chaperone a school trip today.  Pray that they would meet many new students who will end up coming to our City Life ministry and hear and learn about Jesus.

Thursday – Today is the National Day of Prayer.  Pray for our nation, state and your community.

Friday – Pray for our volunteers in Cambridge as they meet with teens tonight.  Pray that the teens would respond positively to the Gospel.

Saturday - Pray that the auction happening today is well attended and people who attend get a bigger passion for reaching teens for Christ.

Sunday – I am giving a ministry update at Cambridge United Presbyterian Church this morning.  Pray that I have safe travel and God will use me to clearly and effectively communicate the ministry happening through YFC.

Monday – Pray for YFC’s ministry in Berne-Knox-Westerlo and for John Conklin and Deb Stalker as they minister to these teens.  Pray that God would send us more volunteers and someone who would serve as a full time staff person for these communities.  Pray for safe travel for me as I will be attending tonight’s group.

Prayer Requests for the week of April 24 - 30, 2012

Tuesday – Today most of our staff will participate in our annual staff retreat.  This year’s focus will be connecting with Jesus and each other.  Thank you for your prayers for us today and tomorrow.

Wednesday – Pray for Tom Beebe’s wife, Kathy.  She had knee surgery a few weeks and continues to have complications that require her to go back to the hospital.  Pray for her complete recovery and for Tom and her to rest fully in the grace filled arms of our God.

Thursday – There are groups of pastors who gather weekly to pray for their own city/town.  This morning (as there is every week) there will be prayer for the city of Troy.  Please join us each week as we lift up the needs of the people in this city.

Friday – Praise God for the countless opportunities He gives our staff and volunteers to share the Gospel with teenagers.

Saturday – Pray for the financial needs of the various ministry departments of CD YFC.  Praise God with us for His provision this year.

Sunday – Pray that our staff would have success in developing strong, effective partnerships with churches in our communities.

Monday – Pray for our ministry to teens in the city of Schenectady through our City Life and Teen Parents ministry.

Prayer Requests for the week of April 17 - 23, 2012

Tuesday – Pray for the Albany Businesspersons Breakfast today. YFC is hosting this month at our new facility in Halfmoon.

Pray for my meeting with Sherri Hvizdak who leads our ministry in Greenville.

Wednesday – Pray for the staff of Capital District YFC as we gather for our staff meeting today. Pray also for my meeting this afternoon with Dave Lenehan who leads our Excel and Break Out conferences. I could also use your prayers as I help out at the Edge Climbing Gym from 2-5 today.

Thursday – We have several people who are interested in working with us in the near future. Please pray for us and them as we explore the opportunities for ministry and to make sure we make the right decisions.

Friday – Pray for the volunteer team in Cambridge as they lead the Campus Life ministry. Pray for me as I will be driving up to Cambridge for their meeting tonight with the teens.

Saturday – Pray for the financial needs of the various ministry departments of CD YFC. Praise God with us for Hid provision this year.

Sunday – Pray that our staff would have success in developing strong, effective partnerships with churches in our communities.

Monday – Pray for our ministry to teens in the Berne-Knox-Westerlo communities and for our need for more adult volunteers.

Tuesday – Pray for YFC’s board of directors and our Executive Director, John Richmond.

Wednesday – Pray Sherri Hvizdak and our volunteer team in Greenville as they lead the Campus Life ministry.

Thursday – Pray for Ruth Lightcap and our volunteer team in Schenectady as they lead the Teen Parents ministry.

Friday – Pray for the volunteer team in Cambridge as they lead the Campus Life ministry.

Saturday – Pray for Dave Lenehan as he leads our two youth conferences (Excel and Break Out).

Sunday – Praise God today!

Monday – Pray for Andy Lightcap, Ray Villegas, Catie Messenger, Cherie Vedder and the volunteer team in Schenectady as they lead the City Life ministry.

Tuesday- Pray for John Conklin and the volunteer team in Berne-Knox-Westerlo as they lead the Campus Life ministry.

Wednesday – Pray for Ray Lightcap as he ministers to us (the YFC staff) and area pastors and youth leaders.

Thursday – Pray for Chris Richmond, Pamela Wallace, Jacqueline Litts and Ann Elliott who take care of the office details for this ministry to teens.

Friday – Pray for Tom Beebe and the volunteer team in East Dorset as they lead the Campus Life ministry.

Saturday – Pray for Steve Prettyman as he leads the Shiloh’s Edge ministry.

Sunday – Pray for the pastors in your community.

Monday – Pray for Adam Catalano as he manages The Edge climbing gym.
