Prayer Requests and Prasies for Jan 31 - Feb 6, 2012

Thank you for your prayers for us as we moved into our new building last week. We are still getting settled in and working on getting our new computer network connected and running. This is taking longer than we excepted so the first prayer request is for:

Patience and grace as we wait for our systems to to fully functional again. Pray especially for those of us on staff who depend on the information on our computers to take care of the day to day functions of leading a ministry.

Continue to pray for the financial needs for this ministry. With the move and using a new building we will not have a good handle on the actual costs for heat during the winter months. Pray for our essential needs to be met these next few months,

I will be leading the Point Break workshop next week in Gloversville. Please pray for me as I assume the lead role for this program next week. Pray for the students and school staff we will be connecting with as well.

Continue to pray for the on-going weekly ministry in Schenectady, Cambridge, East Dorset, Greenville and Berne-Knox-Westerlo. Pray also for all those coming to use our new rock gym, "The Edge - Halfmoon".

Praise God for providing this new building for us and for us at YFC to stay focused on our mission as we go through this time of transition.

Thanks again for your prayers for YFC and the teens we reach out to for our King.

Prayer Requests and Prasies for Jan 24-30

Praise God for a great Excel Conference. Our theme was Deeper Life and the teens were really paying attention and involved in learning this year. Thank you for your prayers.

Our adult event on on-line safety was not heavily attended but those that came told us it was very good information. One parent told me he thought he new a lot before coming and then found out many things he was not aware of that we need to protect our kids from.

Dave Lenehan and I had safe travel down to Maryland and back. The training we received was excellent. Thank you again for your prayers.

This week, we are moving the YFC office from Latham to our new building in Halfmoon. We made 2 trips with a u-haul today. More to do tomorrow. Please pray for our safety as we and some awesome volunteers help move everything. We should have our internet connection all set by Wednesday. We have phones (but I do not know the number yet).

Please pray for us as we get moved in, settled in and adjusted to our new space and driving routes.

Our weekly ministry continues through all this.

Tuesday night I will be in Berne-Knox-Westerlo for a prayer meeting.

Thursday morning, Ray Lightcap and I are meeting with an area youth leader to help plan a youth leader retreat scheduled for March of this year.

Prayer Requests for the week of January 10 - 23, 2012 (two weeks)

Week 1

Tuesday – We are scheduled to provide Point Break to high school teens in the Berne-Knox-Westerlo school district today. Pray that the teens and adults involved today have an open heart to what they are going to hear and experience today.

Wednesday –Pray for the financial needs of this ministry, for the on-going day to day needs as well as the funds needed to complete the gym and café areas of the new building in Halfmoon.

Thursday – Pray for our staff as we load up the haul for Excel this morning. Pray for Dave Lenehan as our Conference Director. Pray for the speakers and teachers that will be helping lead this conference.

Friday – Pray for our adult event tonight and the start of Excel 2012. Pray for all the groups and artists and program staff that will be traveling to Saratoga Springs today as well.

Saturday – Pray for the teens and youth leaders at Excel this weekend. Pray that the theme of Deeper Life will connect with them in practical ways.

Sunday – Pray for a successful final day at Excel today. Pray for safety as we pack up and head home in the evening.

Monday – Pray for rest for all those involved in Excel. Pray especially for all those that have to work today.

Week 2

Tuesday – Pray for safe travel for Dave and I as we fly down to Maryland for a three days of leadership training.

Wednesday –Pray that Dave and I are able to focus and learn well today and tomorrow while at this leadership training.

Thursday – Pray for another safe travel day for Dave and me and all the other “students” and leaders in this training.

Friday – Pray for the financial needs of this ministry, for the on-going day to day needs as well as the funds needed to complete the gym and café areas of the new building in Halfmoon.

Saturday – Pray for all the teens who came to Excel that the emotions they felt last week continue to turn into action as the weeks go by.

Sunday – Pray for the youth leaders who brought teens to Excel. Pray that they would continue to grow in their relationship with God through Christ even as they help the teens grow as followers of Christ.

Monday – The plan is to begin moving the Latham office up to the Halfmoon office this week. Please pray for this transition to go smoothly.

Prayer Requests for the week of January 3 - 9, 2012

Tuesday – Pray for our Excel Conference (Jan 13-15) for high school students in Saratoga Springs. Pray for Dave Lenehan as our Conference Director. Pray for the speakers and teachers that will be helping lead this conference.

Wednesday –Pray for the financial needs of this ministry, for the on-going day to day needs as well as the funds needed to complete the gym and café areas of the new building in Halfmoon.

Thursday – I have a meeting scheduled for this evening with a few Christians who are interested in having a Teen Parents ministry in the Mechanicville community. Please pray for them to quickly understand the process that is involved in starting a new ministry site and for me to explain the process clearly.

Friday – Pray for our staff and volunteers to continue to grow in their relationship with God through Jesus this year.

Saturday – Pray for the teens we reach out to, that they will come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Sunday – Pray for the pastors in your community to preach His word boldly today.
