YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for December 18, 2012 – January 2, 2013


Here is a list of prayer requests and praises for the next few weeks.

Praise God with me as I continue to heal from my gall bladder surgery.

Pray for the Lightcap family. Ray and Ruth’s daughter (Andy’s sister), Tanya, died last week. 

Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer. 

Pray also for the rest of the CDYFC staff team as we support them during this fight.

Pray for the impact of Excel 2013, conference for high school students and youth leaders (Jan 18-20). 

Pray for Dave Lenehan as he is the Excel conference director.  There are many details and schedules to keep track of during the last weeks leading up to Excel.

Pray for our staff and volunteers in the following communities: Ballston Spa, Albany, Greenville, Schenectady, Cambridge, East Dorset,

Pray for those helping us start ministry is Clifton Park, Berne-Knox-Westerlo, New Lebanon, and Averill Park.

Pray for the completion of the café and multi-purpose gym in Halfmoon.

Pray for the financial needs of this ministry to have every department end this calendar year in the black.

Praise God for the gift of His Son.

Pray that each of us involved in YFC at any level will bring glory to God through how we live.

YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for December 11 – 17, 2012


Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer.  Pray also for the rest of the CDYFC staff team as we support them during this fight.

Tuesday – Last week I went into the hospital and had my gall bladder removed.  I came home this past Saturday.  I return to work next Monday.  Thank you for your prayers for me as I begin the healing process.

Wednesday – Pray for Ruth Lightcap and her ministry team as they are working on their Christmas dinner and program with the Schenectady Teen Parents ministry. The dinner and program is tomorrow night.

Thursday – Pray for young moms and their children who will hear the Gospel tonight.  Pray that many will becomes saved tonight.

Friday – Ask God to provide someone to join our staff team for the Cambridge community before the end of this current school year. 

Saturday – Pray for Ashley Young (Albany City Life and Teen Parents) as she continues to get connected to the Christian community in Albany and as she lays the foundation for effective ministry.

Sunday Pray for Erik Gaylo who is our staff person for Ballston Spa Campus Life.  Pray that the monies needed will come in for him to move from part time to full time staff.

Monday – Pray for Sherri Hvizdak who leads our Campus Life ministry in Greenville.  Pray for more volunteers for this ministry.

YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for December 4 – 10, 2012


Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer.  Pray also for the rest of the CDYFC staff team as we support them during this fight.

Tuesday – Pray for Dave Lenehan as he serves as our conference director.  The EXCEL high school conference is just 5 weeks away.  Pray for Dave as he works on all the details of this conference.

Wednesday – Praise God for the results of the Point Break program held last week with students and staff from Voorheesville High School.

Thursday – Pray for YFC’s Board of Directors.

Friday – Ask God to provide someone to join our staff team for the Cambridge community before the end of this current school year. 

Saturday – Pray for Ashley Young (Albany City Life and Teen Parents) as she continues to get connected to the Christian community in Albany and as she lays the foundation for effective ministry.

Sunday – Pray for our Schenectady Teen Parents ministry and Ruth Lightcap who leads this ministry.  We are in need of another staff person and more volunteers.

Monday – Pray for Sherri Hvizdak who leads our Campus Life ministry in Greenville.  Pray for more volunteers for this ministry.

YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for November 27 – December 3, 2012


Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer.  Pray also for the rest of the CDYFC staff team as we support them during this fight.

Tuesday – Pray for our efforts to begin ministry in Clifton Park.  We have a young woman that we asked to join our ministry team and is starting to raise money for beginning a Campus Life ministry.

Wednesday – Pray for our staff as we gather this morning to pray, study the Bible and talk about financial development goals for the last month of the year.

Thursday – Pray for the students and staff from Voorheesville High School going through the Point Break program today.

I am scheduled to talk with a group of adults tonight that are interested in starting our Campus Life ministry back up in New Lebanon.  Pray for me to be able to discern how to move forward in this re-start up.

Friday – Ask God to provide someone to join our staff team for the Cambridge community before the end of this current school year. 

Saturday – Pray for Schenectady ministries; City Life and Teen Parents.  Praise God for our newest staff member, Arimentha Willaims, who joined our staff team earlier this week.

Sunday – Pray for Erik Gaylo (Ballston Spa Campus Life staff) and myself as we present the ministry of YFC/Campus Life at First Presbyterian Church of Ballston Spa this morning.

Monday – Pray for our efforts to re-start the Campus Life ministry in Berne-Knox-Westerlo.  We have a gentleman that is interested in helping us move forward in this community. 

Pray also for our efforts to re-start an YFC ministry in Averill Park as well.  I meet with a woman 2 weeks ago who would like to see YFC get going again in this community.

YFC Prayer Requests/Praises for November 20 - 26, 2012


Please continue to pray for Chris and John Richmond as Chris continues her fight against cancer.  Pray also for the rest of the CDYFC staff team as we support them during this fight.

Tuesday – Praise God for the success of all four Point Break programs that last few weeks with students and staff from South Colonie High School.

Wednesday – Praise God for four new staff people this school year.  Ashley started in September, Erik started in October, Arimentha starts next week and Michele is working on raising the needed funding to start soon.

Thursday – Praise God for all the people in your life.

Friday – Praise God for all the adults who volunteer their time to minister to teens who need to know Jesus.

Saturday – Praise God for the how He provides for all our needs.

Sunday – Praise God for our pastors who remain faithful to God’s word in word and action.

Monday – Praise God for the opportunities He gives us all the time to minister in His name.
