Prayer Requests for July 29 – August 31, 2009

July 29 – Aug 4

(7/29) Wednesday – Continue to pray for God to provide the finances needed to keep this ministry moving forward and to meet all expenses as our new fiscal year begins this month.

(7/30) Thursday – Pray for the staff and volunteers preparing for YFC middle school camp coming this August. Pray for the hearts of teens to be prepared to respond positively to the Gospel.

Pray for the Schenectady WOWJAM today (4-8PM). Pray for all the unsaved that they will repent and start a new life in Christ.

(7/31) Friday – Pray for the Troy WOWJAM today (4-8PM). Pray for all the unsaved that they will repent and start a new life in Christ.

(8/1) Saturday – Pray for Kelly and me as we drive to Penn for the JV Camp that begin tomorrow. Pray for the rest of the program team traveling to camp and the set up for camp.

(8/2) Sunday – Pray for the Albany WOWJAM today (3-7 PM). Pray for all the unsaved that they will repent and start a new life in Christ. Pray for the people from all three WOWJAM who will be baptized tonight.

Pray for the first day of JV Camp. Pray for the staff and volunteers to arrive safely and to have a great start to camp.

(8/3) Monday – Pray for the third meeting of our six week Bowling ABC (Activity Based Club) with a small group of teens from the Rensselaer community.

Pray for Gary and Christopher as they serve the campers as our speaker and musician.

(8/4) Tuesday – Pray for Steve and Adam and their volunteer team as they work with many different groups of young people through our Shiloh’s Edge ministry this summer.

Pray for Deb as she serves the campers and staff as camp director this week.

August 5 - 11

(8/5) Wednesday - Pray for the campers at JV Camp that they will turn their lives over to Christ this week.

(8/6) Thursday – Pray for the staff at camp in our last full day with the campers.

Pray for our Troy Teen Parents volunteer team as they work to help us begin this ministry this coming school year.

(8/7) Friday – Pray for safe travel home today and as our camp ends mid-morning today.

(8/8) Saturday – Pray for the staff, volunteers and campers as we all transition into everyday life and no to forgot what God showed us about Himself while at camp.

(8/9) Sunday – Pray for effective follow up with those who became Christians while at the WOWJAM last week.

(8/10) Monday – Pray for Kelly and me as we get a few days away from home this week as part of my vacation.

Pray for week 4 of our ministry in Rensselaer.

(8/11) Tuesday - Pray for the remaining $543.40 to come in to cover the costs of the training and travel for Dave Lenehan and me. (We have been invited to take part in a three year leadership training forum that will be starting in August). Praise God for the $800 that has already come in for this.

August 12-18

(8/12) Wednesday – Pray for Ray V as he heads up the planning of Blaze Fest, our Hip Hop Camp. Pray for 120 or more teens to attend next week.

(8/13) Thursday – Pray for our Juvenile Justice Ministry and for Tim and John C who lead this ministry.

(8/14) Friday – Pray for our ministry in East Dorset and North Bennington, VT. Pray for Tom and his teams of volunteers.

(8/15) Saturday – Pray for Teen Parents ministry in Schenectady.

(8/16) Sunday – Pray for area pastors and those in church leadership.

(8/17) Monday - Pray for BlazeFest happening in Schenectady this week (17-22)

(8/23) Sunday – Pray for those in your community who do not attend church and/or don’t have a relationship

with God through Christ.

Pray for me as I preach at Connecting Point Church in East Greenbush/Rensselaer today.

(8/24) Monday – Pray for our final meeting this summer with teens in Rensselaer. Pray for us to hear clearly what we should do when school begins for the teens in Rensselaer.

Pray for me as this is my first day back from 2 weeks of vacation.

(8/25) Tuesday – Pray for Dave and I as we travel to Maryland for 2 full days of leadership training.

August 26 - 31

(8/26) Wednesday – Pray for Dave and I we attend this leadership training, as well as the other 10 students and for the teachers.

(8/27) Thursday – Pray for safe travel home for Dave and I this afternoon.

(8/28) Friday – Pray for the teens that began a new life in Christ while at Blaze Fest.

(8/29) Saturday – Pray for our staff who have been ministering all summer and have not had an opportunity for vacation.

(8/30) Sunday – Pray for our Executive Director, John Richmond.

(8/31) Monday - Pray for me as I transition into a season of actually being in the office for a few months. (I will have had only 2 days including today in the office since July 31).

(7/24) Friday – Pray for $1,100 to come in to cover the costs of the training and travel for Dave Lenehan and me. (We have been invited to take part in a three year leadership training forum that will be starting in August). Praise God for the money that has already come in for this.

(7/25) Saturday – Pray for our Horsemanship ABC that meets again today with teens in the North Bennington, VT area. Pray for the volunteers to connect quickly with the teens and as they begin conversations about God with the teens.

(7/26) Sunday – Pray for the YFC staff families as God leads today.

(7/27) Monday – Pray for the second meeting of our six week Bowling ABC (Activity Based Club) with a small group of teens from the Rensselaer community.

YFC Prayer Requests for July 8-21, 2009

(7/8) Wednesday – Continue to pray for God to provide the finances needed to keep this ministry moving forward and to meet all expenses as our new fiscal year begins this month.

(7/9) Thursday – Continue to pray for our ministry at Vanderheyden Hall that meets on Thursday evenings. Pray for Tim Hvizdak as he leads this ministry. Praise for God bringing in more teens each week to this ministry. Pray for 3-5 adult volunteers.

(7/10) Friday – Pray for our Bowling ABC (Activity Based Club) with a small group of teens from the Rensselaer community starting July 20.

(7/11) Saturday – Pray for our Horsemanship ABC that begins today with teens in the North Bennington, VT area. Pray for the volunteers to connect quickly with the teens and as they begin conversations about God with the teens.

(7/12) Sunday – Pray for the churches in your community that they would be a light.

(7/13) Monday – Pray for Kelly and me as we start a week of vacation with our three nieces.

(7/15) Wednesday – Pray for $1,100 to come in to cover the costs of the training and travel for Dave Lenehan and me. (We have been invited to take part in a three year leadership training forum that will be starting in August). Praise God for the money that has already come in for this.

(7/16) Thursday – Pray for the pastors in Troy and the churches they serve who are leading the effort in getting ready for the Troy WOW JAM coming on Friday July 31.

(7/17) Friday – Pray for the staff and volunteers preparing for YFC middle school camp coming this August. Pray for the hearts of teens to be prepared to respond positively to the Gospel.

(7/18) Saturday – Pray for our Horsemanship ABC also starting this month with teens in the North Bennington, VT area.

(7/19) Sunday – Pray for the ministry YFC has in Greenville this summer. Praise God for our part time staff person, Sherri Hvizdak and her team of adult volunteers and teen leaders.

(7/20) Monday – Pray for me as I transition back into work mode today. Pray that I would be able to hit the ground running as the next three weeks are very full.

Pray for the Troy WOW JAM meeting tonight at 7:30PM at Redeeming Love Gospel Church. Pray for all the remaining details and tasks to be completed in time for the event on Friday July 31.

(7/21) Tuesday – Pray for the Troy Teen Parents ministry, for the adult volunteers and for more opportunities to invite other Christians in the Troy area to join this important ministry opportunity.
